Quake II 3D Clan

The Internet Australis gamezone is proud to support multiplayer deathmatch for Quake 2.

We currently have two quake 2 servers running. The Lithium game server enhances quake 2 by including runes of strength, damage tolerance, speed and vampirism. A Grappling Hook is also included which makes games on this server fast paced and easy for beginners.

For the more experienced player who prefer the teamplay style of quake 2, try our second Capture The Flag (CTF) server.

To view the following game server details you must already have downloaded Q3plug

To Play Quake 2

  1. Quake2 needs to be Installed on your computer.
    (Software is available from Computer retail outlets)

  2. Download the latest Software Update for Quake2.
    (File size 13MB, 45 minutes to download on a 56k modem)

  3. Install the plug-in, Q2plug.  (To enable access via web page)

  4. Reload (refresh) this page so that Quake2 menu is visible.

  5. Once QPlug is installed, choose the OPTION menu for the Lithium Quake II server.

  6. Add your player name.

  7. Select the JOIN menu to play the game.

  8. If you have problems connecting to the Lithium server using the QPlugin use the multiplayer menu inside quake2 to connect to quake2.vic.australis.com.au:27910

To Play CTF on Quake 2

  • Follow steps 1 to 3 above (If not previously done)

  • Download the latest maps and Software Update for Capture the Flag.
    (File size 12MB, 40 minutes to download on a 56k modem)

  • Run the file you just downloaded and install it to your quake2 directory making sure that you keep the directory structure inside the zip file intact.

  • Reload (refresh) this page so that Quake2 menu is visible.

  • Once QPlug is installed, choose the OPTION menu for the Lithium Quake II server.

  • Add your player name.

  • Select the JOIN menu to play the game.

  • If you have problems connecting to the action server using QPlugin use the multiplayer menu inside quake2 to connect to quake2.vic.australis.com.au:27911
