| To play Quake III Arena you
must:
- Have the minimum hardware requirements (See below).
- Upgrade the retail version by downloading
the following Point Release.
Q3PointRelease_1.30 (8.5 Mb, 27 minutes at 56k)
After installing the game and
Point Release.
- Run the game.
- Press the ~ key
to bring down the game console.(Its the key above the tab
key)
- Type into the console /password arena
- Select Internet Game
- Select Specify
and type quake3.vic.australis.com.au
- Select Join

Setting up your Graphics
card.
If you have one of the above graphic cards and Quake 3 Test doesn't work you will probably
need to update your graphic drivers. You may do this by going to www.glsetup.com
GLSetup.exe is a program which updates your GL Drivers to the latest versions available.
The nice thing about GLSetup is, that you don't need to know what kind of video card you
have. It will figure it out for itself. I do recommend however that you check the thier
site for known issues with your graphic's card.
